2014 Nature Valley First Tee Open - Mabel Wong

Congratulations to Mabel Wong!, a First Tee of Central Valley participant for the last six years, was selected as one of 81 participants nationwide to compete in the 2014 Champion Tours / Nature Valley Open, Sept 23-29, in Pebble Beach. For one week legends of the game mentor the leaders of tomorrow.

Auntie Anne’s Leaders & Entrepreneurs Forum Oct. 16 through Oct. 19

The First Tee home office is proud to announce a new participant opportunity – the Auntie Anne’s Leaders & Entrepreneurs Forum. Earlier this year, The First Tee partnered with Auntie Anne’s to create an exciting event that will combine leadership and entrepreneurship from Auntie Anne’s with The First Tee Life Skills Curriculum. During the three-day forum, participants will attend interactive sessions covering career and community leadership from Auntie Anne’s executives and franchise partners. They will also learn about what it takes to work for Auntie Anne’s and spend time at Disney theme parks. Click here for application

What is The First Tee?

The First Tee of Central Valley is a non-profit program that is dedicated to providing children and teens an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life enhancing values such as honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship. Our main programming site is located in Modesto and we have three Program Affiliate sites in Escalon, Tracy and Merced. We service Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, Oakdale, Escalon, Ripon, Tracy, Merced, and neighboring communities.

In a past independent research study of The First Tee, 73% of young people at participating chapters reported high confidence in their ability to do well academically and 52% credited the program fort their ability to appreciate diversity.
